Co-Owner/ Master Barber &Stylist& Colorist, Laser Tech
Myles started his hair career in High School in Grade 10 in Wainwright, Alberta, he then moved onward to Lethbridge, Alberta where he took his Hair Schooling has been doing it for Thirteen years professionally! nineteen years in total and been going ever since! During this time he has taken many courses including his Master Barber, Master Colorist, Master Stylist, how to cut ethnic hair, and Aqua Hair Tape in Extension Tech certification, and
Aqua Hair Hand Tied Weft Certification and Laser Skin rejuvenation, acne care, and hair removal, He loves to continue his education every chance he can get Currently he's fallen down the education rabbit hole for Pulp Riot Hair Color and Care products and is loving every second. He is now trying his hands at learning more about the world of Make-up a passion he sadly kept quiet about for years being he never felt safe enough in Alberta to express his love for the art. He has also taken Social media and business classes to improve his abilities all around. Myles loves to do tight fades, flat tops, straight razor shaves on his Masculine clients his Feminine clients he loves the complete makeover effect going from one thing to another making them feel like goddesses! Myles and his husband moved to Nanaimo in search of Nature, the Ocean, and a more relaxed lifestyle where he can share his passion for hair and makeup! In Myles' free time he reads Tarot and Tea leaves in Parksville at WTF; Source on Craig street. He's also be seen in drag performing as a stand-up comedian something he loves to do! as well as going hiking, he plays video games, and a weekly Dungeons and Dragons game he is proud to be nerdy!

Leona originally opened Port Place Hair Spa because she wanted to challenge herself in the world of hair, from 2015 to 2023 now its time for a change A Vivid Edge! Leona took her Hair Schooling at Rich1 Beauty here in Nanaimo, Bc in 2007, her favorite services is to fade maculine people's hair into a modern look, she keeps up with the trends in China she is amazing with Asian hair trendy to professional whatever your needs she is the one for you! Leona enjoys taking adventures while hiking around the island, and relaxing eating popcorn watching a good movie and listening to soft music at home.

Master Esthetician
Desirée is a 20+ year experienced Master Esthetician and Nail Technician specializing in a holistic approach to diabetic hand and foot care with certification in Pedology. She grew up on Vancouver Island and started her career in 2000 by attending Esthetics School in beautiful Duncan, BC. In 2005, she completed an additional certification in Nail Technology in Victoria BC where she owned and operated a spa for over 10 years. Desirée is also highly skilled and trained in the art of bridal and glamorous special event makeup application, and has worked in many top salons and spas on Vancouver Island.
Desirée is enthusiastic about Nanaimo’s diverse theatre and arts community. She is a proud supporter of local musicians, dancers entertainers and greatly enjoys a variety of performances held in our local theatres across Vancouver Island in her spare time, she also teaches Highland dance to her daughter carrying a tradition from her childhood
In recent years, Desirée has become increasingly passionate about the Ayurvedic journey towards overall wellness derived from hot and cold stone, as well as massage techniques within facials and full body relaxation massage. She is excited to bring many new amazing techniques to A Vivid Edge Salon & Spa!
